 Baked Cheesy Pomodoro Pasta 🍅

Ingredients:





1/2 yellow onion
 4 cloves of garlic, minced
 1/2 cup of grated mozzarella cheese
 1/8 cup of grated parmesan cheese
 1 cup of San Marzano whole peeled tomatoes
 200 grams of penne pasta
 Salt and pepper



Instructions:



1. Boil the penne in salted water for ten minutes, strain, and set aside when done. We encourage you to start step two at the same time.

2. In a skillet, preheat two tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the onions and cook until lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper.

3. Add the garlic and cook for one to two minutes before adding the tomatoes. Cook for at least 15 minutes to boil down the sauce, removing any excess water from the tomatoes.

4. Once satisfied, add the penne to the skillet and combine with the sauce, stirring constantly for two minutes. Add the penne into an over-safe bowl or ceramic pot. Add the mozzarella and parmesan on top, evenly distributed.

5. Broil in the oven for 90 seconds until the cheese is golden brown as seen. Eat up and enjoy!
